BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams University women's tennis team is primed for an exciting 2025 fall campaign, opening play on Saturday, Aug. 30, with a road match against Simmons University in Boston.
After opening against Simmons, the Hawks will travel to face Bridgewater State on Thursday, Sept. 4, before hosting Wheaton on Saturday, Sept. 6, on the RWU Tennis Courts. The Hawks will then face Clark on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a dual match.
Opening up Conference of New England (CNE) play, the Hawks will host Curry on Tuesday, Sept. 16, ahead of a trip to Colby-Sawyer on Saturday, Sept. 20, as they continue their CNE slate. The Hawks will play their third straight CNE match on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when they host Saint Joseph (Conn.).
Roger Williams will compete at the Salve Grass Court Tournament hosted by Salve Regina on Sept. 25. The Hawks will then go into three straight road matches, against CNE foes Western New England and Hartford on Sept. 27 and Tuesday, Sept. 30, before opening October on Thursday, Oct. 2 at Salve Regina.
The Hawks will round out the regular season with five straight CNE matches to conclude the fall campaign, with three taking place at home. The University of New England and Endicott will visit Bristol on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Wednesday, Oct. 8, respectively. The Hawks will then be on the road on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Wednesday, Oct. 22, as they take on Gordon and Nichols, before rounding out the season on Saturday, Oct. 25, against Suffolk.
The Roger Williams University Men's Tennis team will compete in four fall events ahead of their traditional spring season. The Hawks will open the year at the Stonehill Doubles Tournament on Sept. 6. The team will then travel for three regional matchups against Clark on Sept. 13, Wheaton (Mass.) on Sept. 17, and Salve Regina on Oct. 2 as they prepare for their spring championship season.
The CNE Women's Tennis Tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 28, with the semifinals scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The Championship match will be played on Saturday, Nov. 1.
