BEVERLY, Mass. - The Conference of New England (CNE) announced the first weekly awards for the opening weekend of the 2025-26 academic year, naming Roger Williams University's Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) as the conference's Player of the Week.

Pecora played a pivotal role in the Hawks' 6-1 victory over Simmons. The senior paired with Ella Mancini at the No. 2 doubles spot, as they earned a 6-1 victory, securing the doubles point, ahead of a 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-4 win over Masha Shutts at the No. 1 Singles spot on Saturday.

Roger Williams (1-0, 0-0 CNE) will travel to Bridgewater State on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 3:30 pm.  The Hawks will then host Wheaton (Mass.) on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 12:00 pm for their home opener.
