Softball: Quadros Picked as CNE Pitcher of the Week for Second Time This Season

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced its weekly awards for the week ending on Mar. 29, awarding Softball's Keira Quadros (East Providence, R.I.) Pitcher of the Week honors.

Quadros appeared in the circle three times this week for the Hawks, throwing a total of 8.3 innings with 10 strikeouts, allowing only one walk, and keeping her opponents hitless. A junior, she opened the week with 1.1 innings of relief in game one against Coast Guard on Wednesday, before earning the win for the Hawks in game two after pitching 0.2 innings to close out RWU's walk off win.

Quadros' next outing came in a complete game no-hitter against Hartford on Sunday, where she struck out nine and walked one. Quadros collected her 150th career strikeout in the game.

This is the fourth time in her collegiate career that Quadros has been named with the honor.

Roger Williams (10-5, 2-0 CNE) is scheduled to next compete on Tuesday, Mar. 31 against Curry before hosting UMass Dartmouth for one game on Wednesday, Apr. 1.
