BRISTOL, R.I. — Following a 2025 campaign in which it earned a share of the Conference of New England (CNE) regular-season title and advanced to the CNE Semifinals, the Roger Williams University Women's Volleyball team prepares to open its 27-match 2026 schedule.
Head Coach Danielle Davis enters her 12th season leading the Hawks after earning her third conference Coach of the Year award in 2025.
Roger Williams finished last season with a 15-11 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play. The Hawks tied Endicott and Wentworth atop the CNE standings and earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament through the league's tiebreaking procedures.
After receiving a first-round bye, the Hawks hosted Endicott in the CNE Semifinals before falling to the Gulls, 3-1.
Four All-CNE Honorees Return
Roger Williams returns four All-CNE selections from last season, led by junior middle hitter Kaydence Fish (Bedford, N.H.).
Fish earned Second Team All-CNE honors after finishing the season with 106 kills and a .282 hitting percentage. She led the Hawks with 86 total blocks, including 13 solo blocks, and averaged 1.12 blocks per set.
Senior opposite Peyton Felix (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) earned her third consecutive Third Team All-CNE selection. Felix finished second on the team with 187 kills and added 81 blocks, 98 digs and 230.5 points while appearing in 96 sets, and is one of the Hawks' captains.
Junior middle hitter Angela West (Riverview, Fla.) also returns after receiving Third Team recognition. West led RWU's regular offensive rotation with a .297 hitting percentage while contributing 172 kills, 76 blocks and 217.5 points.
Senior libero and captain Marianna Hernandez (Norwalk, Conn.) anchors the back row after earning Third Team All-CNE honors. Hernandez led the Hawks with 377 digs and 3.89 digs per set while adding 65 assists and 20 service aces.
Collectively, Fish, Felix and West give Roger Williams back three of its top five point scorers and three of its four leading blockers from the 2025 season.
New Look at Setter
The Hawks will have a new primary setter following the graduation of Emma Bosco, who recorded a team-leading 653 assists last season.
Sophomore Ava McGonagle (Reading, Mass.) returns after contributing 158 assists across 30 sets during her first season. McGonagle averaged 5.27 assists per set while adding 19 digs and 10 blocks.
First-year setters Evalina Kim (Needham, Mass.) and Ava Lombardo (Newtown, Conn.) will also compete for opportunities within the Hawks' offense.
In the back row, sophomore Samantha Devino (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) returns after recording 121 digs and 18 service aces across 68 sets.
Newcomers Add to the Lineup
Roger Williams welcomes seven newcomers to its roster, including graduate outside hitter Camille Ledoux (Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec).
First-year outside hitter Rylie Eisenhard (Pottstown, Pa.) joins the Hawks after a successful career at Pottsgrove High School. Eisenhard earned Pioneer Athletic Conference First Team honors in 2025 after twice receiving second-team recognition and set the program's school record for kills.
The newcomer class also includes outside hitter Anna O'Toole (Wilbraham, Mass.), liberos Joci Wall (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Olivia Morrisey (Floral Park, N.Y.), along with Kim and Lombardo.
Sophomore middle hitters Adele Kasper (Parsippany, N.J.) and Victoria Lisboa (Clover, S.C.), sophomore middle hitter Michaela McGovern (Holliston, Mass.) and junior opposite Claire Davis (Trumbull, Conn.) will also look to take on expanded roles during the 2026 campaign.
2026 Schedule
Roger Williams opens the season at home Sept. 1, hosting Salve Regina at 6 p.m. inside the Campus Recreation Center.
The Hawks remain home for the RWU Invitational on Sept. 4-5. Roger Williams faces Neumann and Plymouth State on Sept. 4 before taking on Amherst and Babson on Sept. 5.
RWU continues its early-season homestand against Tufts on Sept. 8 before traveling to Saratoga Springs, New York, for the Skidmore Classic. The Hawks face Middlebury on Sept. 11 and play Skidmore and Williams on Sept. 12.
Roger Williams returns home to host Brandeis on Sept. 16 and welcomes Coast Guard and Worcester State for a tri-match on Sept. 19.
CNE play begins Sept. 23 when the Hawks host Suffolk at 6 p.m. RWU then travels to Beverly, Massachusetts, on Sept. 26 for a rematch of last season's conference semifinal against Endicott.
The conference schedule also features matchups against Johnson & Wales, Curry, Hartford, Wentworth, Gordon, the University of New England, Nichols and Western New England.
Roger Williams hosts Bridgewater State on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. as part of Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Hawks close their home schedule against Nichols on Nov. 4 before completing the regular season at Western New England on Nov. 7.
The CNE Tournament begins with the first round on Nov. 10, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 12 and championship match on Nov. 14.
With four returning All-Conference players, an experienced defensive group and seven newcomers joining the roster, Roger Williams enters 2026 looking to build upon its share of last season's regular-season championship and make another postseason run.
