After a timeout by head coach Kristie Baldwin, New England College responded to score three-straight goals in less than a minute, but Beckwith, Alden, Natasha Billie (Pt. Pleasant, N.J.) and Sarah Tozier (Falmouth, Maine) scored successively to send the teams to the break with RWU ahead, 10-5.

RWU scored three of the first four goals in the second half before posting a five-goal string to move comfortably ahead, 18-7 with 10 minutes remaining in regulation. Sophomore Amanda Naime (York, Maine), junior Emily Kuchta (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior Diana Lynas (Rowley, Mass.) scored for New England College before the final horn sounded with the score 18-10.
