Women’s Lacrosse closes out regular season with big win over Nichols

Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. - The Roger Williams University Women's lacrosse team ended their regular season with a 20-5 win over Nichols College on Wednesday afternoon.

In the first five minutes of the second half, Rahilly fed the ball to Carly Martin (Scituate, Mass.) for a goal. The Bison ended the Hawks' run three minutes later with a free position goal by Grace Murphy (Montclair, Va.). Murphy would tally her second goal of the game with 17 minutes left to make it 16-3 in favor of Roger Williams.

Bufis and Erica Antonison (Albertson, N.Y.) notched the last goals of the game for Nichols. Antonison made a strong defensive play, stealing the ball from the keeper, drawing the foul and scoring on a free-position shot.

Rahilly set a new school record with ten assists for the Hawks in the game, shattering her previous record of seven set on four separate occasions. She also tied a career high with 11 points in the game.
