Madi Drain, junior midfielder for the Roger Williams University Women's Lacrosse team, joined the podcast Hawk Talk this week. She sat down with host
Bryce Johnson and they discussed what motivated her to join the Justice in Action Athletic Alliance, how she got into lacrosse and how she is giving back, and her go to breakfast sandwich (the answer may surprise you).

Drain is a third-year member of the Hawks Women's Lacrosse team playing primarily as a midfielder where she is superb on the defensive side of the field. She put together a fantastic freshman season as she played and stated in all 19 games for RWU. She led the team with 35 caused turnovers and ranked second with 50 ground balls. Both of those marks were also good for fifth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. For her efforts, Drain was named to the All-CCC First Team and was the RWU Female Rookie of the Year.
Â
Last spring, Drain was on pace to eclipse those number through the first five games before the shutdown. She was tied for the team lead with 13 ground balls and was tied for second on the roster with six caused turnovers.
Â
Off the field, she is studying Education and Media Studies.
