BRISTOL, R.I. — In a dominating performance, the Roger Williams University women's lacrosse team soared to a resounding 26-0 victory over Wentworth in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at Bayside Field.

With the win the Head Coach Amanda Magee earned her 100th career victory as a head coach.

From the onset, the Hawks displayed their offensive ability quickly establishing control of the game. Julia Kelley (Foxborough, Mass.) led the charge for Roger Williams, netting an impressive five goals and seven assists, while Kimmy Creegan (Ramsey, N.J.) and Ryleigh Grant (East Providence, R.I.) contributed four and three goals respectively. The Hawks assisted on 17 of their 26 goals in the contest.

Defensively, Roger Williams remained steadfast, holding Wentworth scoreless throughout the entirety of the game, holding the Leopards to one shot on goal.

The Hawks' dominance extended beyond the offensive and defensive ends as they also excelled in ground balls and draw controls. Karli Chapin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) and Miranda Hayes (South Burlington, Vt.) played pivotal roles in controlling the midfield, ensuring Roger Williams maintained possession off the draw.

The Hawks jumped out to an early 8-0 lead through the opening five minutes of play, as Kelley recorded points on Roger Williams' first five goals of the contest. With 2:32 remaining in the first quarter, the Hawks jumped out to a 11-0 lead taking an early command of the game.

Roger Williams (4-6, 3-0 CCC) will host #21 Babson on Thursday, Apr. 4 at 4:00 pm on Bayside Field.  The Hawks will then host Gordon on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 11:00 am for Senior Day to round out the week.
