CANTON, N.Y. – The Roger Williams University Women's Cross Country team is getting ready for the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 15th, hosted by St. Lawrence.
After finishing the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship with a seventh overall finish, the Hawks focus on improving their 13th place finish from last year's NCAA Division III Regional Championship, a program best.
The Hawks are led by junior Grace Baldwin (Braintree, Mass). Baldwin was named to the Conference of New England (CNE) Third Team and ran her personal best at the CNE Championship with a time of 23:33.84
Senior Amanda Walsh (South Windsor, Conn.) will also run at the Regional Championship. Walsh runs a personal best of 25:24.7 and was recently named to the CNE Community Service Team.
Gabriella Sitzer (Singerland, New York) will look to build off her CNE Championship performance as she finished with a personal best of 24:21.54.
The Hawks are rounded out by junior Olivia O'Neil (Westwood, Mass), sophomore Bree Killion (Rochester, Mass), and first-year Lindsay Maine (Richmond, R.I.). O'Neil posted a season best at the CNE Championship, with a time of 24:28.54. Killion ran her season best at the Trinity College Invitational with a time of 27:37.5. Maine earned her personal record at the CNE Championship, as she earned a personal best of 28:40.2
The Hawks will travel to Canton, N.Y. on Saturday, November 15th to compete for qualification for the NCAA Division III National Championship. The National Championship takes place on Nov. 22nd in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
