Women’s Soccer: D’Antonio Tabbed as CNE Offensive Player of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced that Mya D'Antonio (Marshfield, Mass.) has been named the league's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The Hawks went 1-1 on the week, falling to Wheaton ahead of a 3-0 win over Johnson & Wales in CNE play on Saturday. In a 3-2 loss at Wheaton, D'Antonio tallied a pair of goals off of two shots on target. The Hawks midfielder also picked up a pair of assists on Saturday, earning helpers on RWU's second and third goals of the game.

The award marks D'Antonio's first-ever CNE Offensive Player of the Week honor, while being the second weekly honor of her career, the first being a CNE Rookie of the Week award during her first-year campaign.

Roger Williams (4-1-2, 2-0-0 CNE) will play at Bridgewater State on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 7:00 pm.  The Hawks will then host the University of New England on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 12:00 pm on Bayside Field.
