BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams are set to begin the 2026 outdoor season on Saturday, March 21, at the J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic hosted by Wesleyan University.
The Hawks are led by Head Coach
Maura "Mo" Logan, who has led the Hawks to two Men's Conference Championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Logan is assisted by
Sean Livingston,
David McArdle '22,
Steven Nostro '24, and
Eben Kiesow '22.
Roger Williams returns
Nathan Tassey who has made two appearances at the NCAA Division III National Championships and currently holds the school 10k record. Also returning for the men,
Justin Dickson set a program best in the decathlon, while also seeing personal best marks in the 100, long jump, high jump, 110 hurdles, and discus. In field events,
Napoleon Suderman and
Enrique Maldonado return in the hammer and discus. Maldonado set a personal best in the hammer throw at the Conference of New England Outdoor Track & Field Championship last season, throwing a 46.73m. Suderman also posted personal bests of 47.70m and 48.27m, respectively, in the discus and hammer.
On the women's side,
Angela West will return after ranking 14th nationally in the women's javelin and competing at the NCAA Division III National Championships last season. The Hawks will also return
Grace Baldwin who posted a season-best 400 Hurdles of 1:08.55 to place 1st at the Conference of New England Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Joining Baldwin on the track is
Karsyn Medeiros who ran a 28.50 in the 200 at the Conference of New England Outdoor Track & Field Championship last season, while contributing to a season-best 4x100 relay of 52.15 for 23rd at the New England Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
RWU will compete in a full slate of spring meets leading into postseason competition, beginning with their season opener in Middletown, Conn. Following that, Roger Williams travels to UMass Dartmouth for the Corsair Classic on Saturday, March 28.
In April, the Hawks return to Rhode Island for the Ocean State Cup, hosted by Bryant University on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, before heading to Connecticut College for the two-day Silfen Invitational on April 10-11. Roger Williams continues competition at the Sean Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT on Saturday, April 18, serving as a key tune-up ahead of the championship portion of the schedule.
The Hawks will then compete at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championships on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.
Postseason action continues with the New England Division III Championship on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, in New London, Conn. Select Hawks will then compete at the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza, hosted by Williams College on May 10-11, followed by the MIT Final Qualifier on Saturday, May 16.
The season will conclude at the NCAA Division III National Championship, taking place May 23-26 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
