The Roger Williams University Athletic Hall of Fame
Deborah Konuch was a standout member of both the Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams. She earned NAIA All-District honors in both volleyball and basketball, becoming the first female athlete in school history to earn honors in both sports. In addition, she was a Mayflower Conference All-Star in both sports as well as an NAIA Nationals All-Tournament team selection in volleyball. Konuch led the 1985 Volleyball team to the ECAC Championships, and was named RWU Female Athlete of the Year in 1984 and 1985. Notably, she was also the first player in RWU Women’s Basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points, finishing her career with 1,162 career points.
