Val Innocente spent seven years as Head Coach of the Baseball team, tallying 98 victories over his career, which were most in program history at the time of his departure from the program. He coached the Hawks to its best season in school history in 2002, finishing with a school-record 24 wins and leading the team to its first Commonwealth Coast Conference title, while advancing to the NCAA National Tournament for the first time ever. In 1998, he brought the team to the CCC Championship Game and was recognized as CCC Co-Coach of the Year that season. Over the course of his coaching tenure, 22 players were named to the All-CCC team, including one All-New England player in Brian Robinson in 2002.
